Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2008 Christies in London held the auction Nineteenth Century European Art, which included the work Portrait of Boris Kustodiev (1878-1927); Study of a woman half-length; Study of a woman in profile; Fashions for gentleman from the mid 19th Century; Study of figures skiing; Studies of costumes; and Figurative male studies by Georgy Semenovich Vereisky. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,588.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Other works by Georgy Semenovich Vereisky have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2006 the work Landscape was auctioned for GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,778.21).
