Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Composition by Georges Terzian was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2016. The price achieved of USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,686.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Georges Terzian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Johny Guitar, which sold at auction in February 2013 for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,875.30).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.686,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Georges Terzian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Johny Guitar beobachtet, die im Februar 2013 für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.875,30) versteigert wurde.
