Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Georges Noël achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in March 2021. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work White Plains - 1962 sold for EUR 22,100.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Georges Noël - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Effigie Palimpseste D'Or Sur Vert - 1962, which sold at auction in June last year for EUR 65,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Georges Noël erzielte im März 2021 bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit White Plains - 1962 für EUR 22.100,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Georges Noël mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Effigie Palimpseste D'Or Sur Vert - 1962 beobachtet, die im Juni letzten Jahres für EUR 65.600,00 versteigert wurde.
