Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Georges Noël achieved an unexpectedly high price at Il Ponte in November last year. In the Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work Palimseste sold for EUR 9,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Georges Noël have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Effigie Palimpseste D'Or Sur Vert - 1962 in June last year with an auction result of EUR 65,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Georges Noël erzielte im November letzten Jahres bei Il Ponte einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Palimseste für EUR 9.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Georges Noël auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Effigie Palimpseste D'Or Sur Vert - 1962 im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 65.600,00.
