Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900, Session II, which included the work The Effects of Rain on the Plain by Georges Michel. The price achieved of EUR 16,380.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Other works by Georges Michel have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2010 the work Paysage Au Moulin, Effet D'Orage was auctioned for EUR 31,950.00.

Im Juni 2021 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900, Session II durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Effects of Rain on the Plain von Georges Michel zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 16.380,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Georges Michel konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2010 die Arbeit Paysage Au Moulin, Effet D'Orage für EUR 31.950,00 versteigert.
