Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Georges Michel could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the European Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work The Bonfire changed hands for USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,404.30) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Georges Michel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Paysage Au Moulin, Effet D'Orage, which sold at auction in March 2010 for EUR 31,950.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Georges Michel konnte im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion European Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture wechselte die Arbeit The Bonfire für USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.404,30) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Georges Michel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Paysage Au Moulin, Effet D'Orage beobachtet, die im März 2010 für EUR 31.950,00 versteigert wurde.
