This price was achieved in the auction Gemälde (West) at Koller and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of CHF 1,200.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Georges Laporte; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Strandlandschaft mit Häusern. sold at auction in June 2005 with the realized price of CHF 9,520.00 (€ 6,134.73).
