Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait of a lady, half-length with a red shawl by Georges Jules Ernest Binet for GBP 540.00 (€ 788.85). This price was achieved in the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Georges Jules Ernest Binet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Scene De Plage in October 2012 with an auction result of EUR 5,148.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im August 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, half-length with a red shawl von Georges Jules Ernest Binet für GBP 540,00 (€ 788,85) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Georges Jules Ernest Binet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Scene De Plage im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 5.148,00.
