In November 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Sporting And Wildlife Art Including The Collection Of Doug And Ellen Miller, which included the work Lion attaquant un bison by Georges Gardet. The »bidding war« ended at USD 11,250.00 (€ 7,659.31), 61% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Georges Gardet; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Two Panthers In Combat sold at auction in April 2006 with the realized price of USD 10,200.00 (€ 8,079.85).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 7.659,31) und damit 61% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Georges Gardet; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Two Panthers In Combat im April 2006 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 10.200,00 (€ 8.079,85).
