Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Georges Gardet could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in December 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Sporting Sale: Equestrian, Wildlife & Maritime Art auction, the work French Tiger Attacking A Tortoise changed hands for USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,592.21) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 9,000.00.
