It achieved a price of GBP 34,850.00 (€ 42,136.27), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. Admittedly, works by Georges de Feure have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Femme Dans La Neige (Élégante Au Petit Chien) in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 350,000.00 (€ 313,929.50).

Die Arbeit French Visage De Femme Sur Fond De Vegetation Luxuriante Et D'Oiseaux Fantastiques von Georges de Feure kam im November 2008 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 34.850,00 (€ 42.136,27) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Georges de Feure auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Femme Dans La Neige (Élégante Au Petit Chien) im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 350.000,00 (€ 313.929,50).
