Auction result well in line with expectations
In August last year Bonhams in New York held the auction Discovery Online, which included the work Capucine in Hat by Jean Barthet, Arachnée by Georges Dambier. The price achieved of USD 1,275.00 (€ 1,266.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Georges Dambier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lucinda Londres, 1959 in September 2019 with an auction result of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,359.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Discovery Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Capucine in Hat by Jean Barthet, Arachnée von Georges Dambier zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.275,00 (€ 1.266,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Georges Dambier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lucinda Londres, 1959 im September 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.359,81).
