In January 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art, which included the work Teatime by Georges Croegaert. The result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,896.61) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Georges Croegaert have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Les indiscrets in October 2000 with an auction result of GBP 58,750.00 (€ 100,420.55).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Januar 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Teatime von Georges Croegaert zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.896,61) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Georges Croegaert auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Les indiscrets im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 58.750,00 (€ 100.420,55).
