Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Belgian dreams Of The Orient by Georges Croegaert for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,576.50). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Paintings at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Croegaert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les indiscrets in October 2000 with an auction result of GBP 58,750.00 (€ 100,420.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Belgian dreams Of The Orient von Georges Croegaert für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.576,50) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Croegaert erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les indiscrets im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 58.750,00 (€ 100.420,55).
