This artwork by Georges Croegaert achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2016. In the Old Masters & 19th Century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) auction, the work A Russian patriarch visiting cardinals sold for EUR 35,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 16,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Georges Croegaert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Les indiscrets, which sold at auction in October 2000 for GBP 58,750.00 (€ 100,420.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Georges Croegaert erzielte im Mai 2016 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) wurde die Arbeit A Russian patriarch visiting cardinals für EUR 35.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 16.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Georges Croegaert mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Les indiscrets beobachtet, die im Oktober 2000 für GBP 58.750,00 (€ 100.420,55) versteigert wurde.
