Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Distinguished Visitor by Georges Croegaert was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2013. The price achieved of GBP 36,250.00 (€ 42,381.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Georges Croegaert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Les indiscrets, which sold at auction in October 2000 for GBP 58,750.00 (€ 100,420.55).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 36.250,00 (€ 42.381,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Georges Croegaert mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Les indiscrets beobachtet, die im Oktober 2000 für GBP 58.750,00 (€ 100.420,55) versteigert wurde.
