Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work Reclining nude by Georges Capon. The price achieved of GBP 1,147.50 (€ 1,345.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Georges Capon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Trois Personnages Attables Dans Un Bar, which sold at auction in February 2007 for EUR 3,946.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Reclining nude von Georges Capon zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.147,50 (€ 1.345,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Georges Capon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Trois Personnages Attables Dans Un Bar beobachtet, die im Februar 2007 für EUR 3.946,00 versteigert wurde.
