Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mother And Child by Georgy Artemov was sold in the TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2001. The price achieved of NLG 7,050.00 (€ 3,388.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as NLG 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georgy Artemov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reclining nude in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 121,250.00 (€ 141,546.96).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von NLG 7.050,00 (€ 3.388,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit NLG 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georgy Artemov erzielen.
