Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Natura morta su specchio con fiasca by Georges de Pogedaieff was auctioned at Il Ponte in June 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,800.00 – 2,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges de Pogedaieff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Theatre Set At Night in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 52,500.00 (€ 74,024.34).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Natura morta su specchio con fiasca von Georges de Pogedaieff im Juni 2020 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.800,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.500,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges de Pogedaieff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Theatre Set At Night im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 52.500,00 (€ 74.024,34).
