Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A cornfield by George Vicat Cole was sold in the 19th Century and British Impressionist Art auction at Bonhams in London in March last year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 14,000.00 (€ 16,598.58) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Vicat Cole - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Windsor Castle, from a backwater, which sold at auction in November 2002 for GBP 29,875.00 (€ 46,782.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A cornfield von George Vicat Cole wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion 19th Century and British Impressionist Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 14.000,00 (€ 16.598,58) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von George Vicat Cole mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Windsor Castle, from a backwater beobachtet, die im November 2002 für GBP 29.875,00 (€ 46.782,71) versteigert wurde.
