In October 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours, which included the work Ascending the steps by George Owen Wynne Apperley. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 720.00 (€ 1,075.74), 44% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Owen Wynne Apperley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Artist'S Wife On A Terrace Above The Alhambra, Spain in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,363.80).

Im Oktober 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ascending the steps von George Owen Wynne Apperley zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 720,00 (€ 1.075,74) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Owen Wynne Apperley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Artist'S Wife On A Terrace Above The Alhambra, Spain im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.000,00 (€ 17.363,80).
