Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The agreement, a young gentleman and an old lady by George Moutard Woodward was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2005. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 350.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 360.00 (€ 522.52). Admittedly, works by George Moutard Woodward have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ut Lubet in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,151.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The agreement, a young gentleman and an old lady von George Moutard Woodward kam im Dezember 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 350,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 360,00 (€ 522,52) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Moutard Woodward auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ut Lubet im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.440,00 (€ 2.151,49).
