Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of USD 9,375.00 (€ 6,382.76), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Luis Viavant - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work American A Hanging Mallard Drake, which sold at auction in November 2007 for USD 33,400.00 (€ 22,739.65).

Die Arbeit American A Hanging Snipe von George Luis Viavant kam im November 2007 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 6.382,76) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%.
