In November 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction Sporting Art, which included the work American A Hanging Green Winged Teal by George Luis Viavant. The »bidding war« ended at USD 31,000.00 (€ 21,105.66), 55% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by George Luis Viavant; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot American A Hanging Mallard Drake sold at auction in November 2007 with the realized price of USD 33,400.00 (€ 22,739.65).

Im November 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Sporting Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit American A Hanging Green Winged Teal von George Luis Viavant zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 31.000,00 (€ 21.105,66) und damit 55% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von George Luis Viavant; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit American A Hanging Mallard Drake im November 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 33.400,00 (€ 22.739,65).
