In November 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art Online sale, which included the work Shida Hii Ya Maji Haitaisha Mapa Tuchimbe Kisima Chetu Hapa Kijijini (1998) by George Lilanga di Nyama. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,530.00 (€ 1,708.00), 53% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by George Lilanga di Nyama have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Man Wears Glasses To See His Relatives' and 'Every Body Eats His Own Food' in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 7,562.00 (€ 8,776.98).

Im November 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art Online sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Shida Hii Ya Maji Haitaisha Mapa Tuchimbe Kisima Chetu Hapa Kijijini (1998) von George Lilanga di Nyama zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.530,00 (€ 1.708,00) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Lilanga di Nyama auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Man Wears Glasses To See His Relatives' and 'Every Body Eats His Own Food' im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.562,00 (€ 8.776,98).
