Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lovers by George Keyt was sold in the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in June this year. The price achieved of GBP 25,600.00 (€ 29,793.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by George Keyt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Triptych 1929 in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 162,500.00 (€ 183,249.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lovers von George Keyt wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.600,00 (€ 29.793,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Keyt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Triptych 1929 im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 162.500,00 (€ 183.249,87).
