Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Study of three ladies in a parlour, two playing cards, one at a writing desk by George Jones for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,192.18). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Drawings and British Drawings and Watercolours at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Jones achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Battle of Waterloo in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 79,743.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Study of three ladies in a parlour, two playing cards, one at a writing desk von George Jones für GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.192,18) erwerben.
