Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of Mrs Kirkwood by George Henry was auctioned at Sothebys in London in August 2007. The price achieved of GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,304.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Henry achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Playmates in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 401,300.00 (€ 510,471.14).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.000,00 (€ 13.304,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden.
