In April 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work A ship aground on the rocks at low tide by George Henry Jenkins. The result of GBP 500.00 (€ 563.09) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Henry Jenkins - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Looking Out To Sea From The Cliffs, Torbay, South Devon; Anstey'S Cove, Torquay, South Devon; And Babbacombe Pier, South Devon, which sold at auction in January 2008 for GBP 1,625.00 (€ 2,178.38).
