Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An album of etchings and drawings including figurative and architectural studies, the majority inscribed and dated '1826' by George Hayter was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2007. The price achieved of GBP 375.00 (€ 538.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Hayter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Charlotte, Countess de la Bourdonnaye (1795-1875), Full-Length, In A Green Dress, Seated On A Day Bed On A Terrace, A Dog On Her Lap, Before A Draped Curtain, With An Extensive Landscape Beyond in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 46,800.00 (€ 69,360.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit An album of etchings and drawings including figurative and architectural studies, the majority inscribed and dated '1826' von George Hayter kam im Oktober 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Charlotte, Countess de la Bourdonnaye (1795-1875), Full-Length, In A Green Dress, Seated On A Day Bed On A Terrace, A Dog On Her Lap, Before A Draped Curtain, With An Extensive Landscape Beyond im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 46.800,00 (€ 69.360,56).
