The work Manhattan by George Grosz was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2005. It achieved a price of USD 19,200.00 (€ 15,923.04), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 28%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Grosz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gefährliche Straße in February 2020 with an auction result of GBP 9,740,250.00 (€ 11,288,971.84).

Die Arbeit Manhattan von George Grosz kam im September 2005 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 19.200,00 (€ 15.923,04) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Grosz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gefährliche Straße im Februar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.740.250,00 (€ 11.288.971,84).
