Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Ade, Witboi by George Grosz was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art, Including Russian and Latin American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2011. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,288.02). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Grosz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gefährliche Straße in February 2020 with an auction result of GBP 9,740,250.00 (€ 11,288,971.84).
