In July 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work Waiting For The Train by George Goodwin Kilburne. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,147.50 (€ 1,345.68), 43% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Goodwin Kilburne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Miss Pinkerton's Academy, Chiswick Mall in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 32,900.00 (€ 52,150.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 43 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Waiting For The Train von George Goodwin Kilburne zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.147,50 (€ 1.345,68) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Goodwin Kilburne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Miss Pinkerton's Academy, Chiswick Mall im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.900,00 (€ 52.150,55).
