Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters & 19th Century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism), which included the work An Austrian landscape by George Gillis Haanen. The price achieved of EUR 8,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by George Gillis Haanen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Oudegracht with a view of the Old Town Hall and the Dom Tower beyond, Utrecht in November 2001 with an auction result of USD 41,125.00 (€ 45,908.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2016 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Austrian landscape von George Gillis Haanen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 8.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Gillis Haanen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Oudegracht with a view of the Old Town Hall and the Dom Tower beyond, Utrecht im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 41.125,00 (€ 45.908,68).
