The work Battle Dawn by George Gascoyne was sold in the Victorian and British Impressionist Art auction at Christies in London in June 2010. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,120.70), 50% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by George Gascoyne; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Turn of the Plough sold at auction in September 2012 with the realized price of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 14,116.75).

Die Arbeit Battle Dawn von George Gascoyne wurde im Juni 2010 in der Auktion Victorian and British Impressionist Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 9.120,70) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von George Gascoyne; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Turn of the Plough im September 2012 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 14.116,75).
