Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A description of the different varieties of oxen, 1800 by George Garrard was sold in the The Library of Henry Rogers Broughton, 2nd Baron Fairhaven Part I auction at Sothebys in London in May last year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 3,780.00 (€ 4,446.81) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Garrard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Album Of Studies Of Different Varieties Of Oxen Common In The British Isles in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 57,133.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A description of the different varieties of oxen, 1800 von George Garrard wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion The Library of Henry Rogers Broughton, 2nd Baron Fairhaven Part I bei Sothebys in London versteigert.
