The »bidding war« ended at AUD 3,525.00 (€ 2,046.36), 18% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Feather Lawrence - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Winter Landscape, Bathurst, which sold at auction in April 2003 for AUD 9,400.00 (€ 4,793.39).
