A top price for George Elgar Hicks - as previously expected
The work The General Post Office, One Minute Before Six by George Elgar Hicks was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2010. The price achieved of GBP 97,250.00 (€ 112,809.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The General Post Office, One Minute Before Six is the most expensive artwork by George Elgar Hicks that we have observed at auctions so far.
