Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,614.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by George Elgar Hicks have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The General Post Office, One Minute Before Six in December 2010 with an auction result of GBP 97,250.00 (€ 112,809.71).
