In October 2010 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work The Blue Gros-beak; The black and blew Titmouse; Bird from the Island of Ceylon; The Cock, Purple brested Manakin; The Swallow-tayled Roller; and one other by George Edwards. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,297.14), 41% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by George Edwards have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Twelve Ornithological Studies, from A Natural History of Uncommon Birds in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,541.27).

Im Oktober 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Blue Gros-beak; The black and blew Titmouse; Bird from the Island of Ceylon; The Cock, Purple brested Manakin; The Swallow-tayled Roller; and one other von George Edwards zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.297,14) und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Edwards auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Twelve Ornithological Studies, from A Natural History of Uncommon Birds im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.541,27).
