The price achieved of AUD 141,000.00 (€ 78,049.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 120,000.00 – 170,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Sydney from Macquarie Street is the most expensive artwork by George Edwards Peacock that we have observed at auctions so far.
