This artwork by George Demont Otis achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in February this year. In the Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer auction, the work Mt. Tamalpais with Stream sold for USD 12,750.00 (€ 12,026.03) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by George Demont Otis; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Spring Sleepy Hollow sold at auction in August this year with the realized price of USD 14,080.00 (€ 12,990.13).

In der Auktion Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer wurde die Arbeit Mt. Tamalpais with Stream für USD 12.750,00 (€ 12.026,03) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von George Demont Otis; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Spring Sleepy Hollow im August diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 14.080,00 (€ 12.990,13).
