Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Cup and Ring Stone by George Dannatt. The price achieved of GBP 892.50 (€ 997.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Admittedly, works by George Dannatt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Slate' With Interlocked Circles; 'Slate' With White Intrusion in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,062.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cup and Ring Stone von George Dannatt zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 892,50 (€ 997,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Dannatt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Slate' With Interlocked Circles; 'Slate' With White Intrusion im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.062,34).
