In the Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture from auction, the work North American Indians from the Duke of Portland Album Unique changed hands for USD 41,125.00 (€ 45,908.68) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Catlin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Interior Of A Mandan Lodge in December 2011 with an auction result of USD 1,538,500.00 (€ 1,185,924.61).
