Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Monterey Coastal sight 11 1/2 x 19 1/2 in. framed 20 1/2 x 28 1/4 in. by George Booth Post was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of USD 512.00 (€ 469.38) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Booth Post - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Laguna Cliffs 18 x 24 in. framed 29 3/4 x 36 in., which sold at auction in December last year for USD 1,020.00 (€ 953.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Monterey Coastal sight 11 1/2 x 19 1/2 in. framed 20 1/2 x 28 1/4 in. von George Booth Post kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 512,00 (€ 469,38) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von George Booth Post mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Laguna Cliffs 18 x 24 in. framed 29 3/4 x 36 in. beobachtet, die im Dezember letzten Jahres für USD 1.020,00 (€ 953,45) versteigert wurde.
