A top price for George Arthur Gaskell - as previously expected
The work Tea time by George Arthur Gaskell was sold in the British And Continental Watercolours And Drawings auction at Christies in London in October 2001. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,292.50 (€ 2,088.87) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Tea time is the most expensive artwork by George Arthur Gaskell that we have observed at auctions so far.
