Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A George Arluk Sculpture by George Arlook was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 200.00 – 300.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 76.50 (€ 65.28). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Arlook achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A George Arlook/Arluk Sculpture in August 2021 with an auction result of USD 1,020.00 (€ 864.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A George Arluk Sculpture von George Arlook im September 2020 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 200,00 – 300,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 76,50 (€ 65,28) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Arlook erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A George Arlook/Arluk Sculpture im August 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.020,00 (€ 864,41).
