Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by George Arlook could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Native American Art Online auction, the work Two George Arlook/Arluk Sculptures changed hands for USD 229.50 (€ 195.85) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 300.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by George Arlook have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A George Arlook/Arluk Sculpture in August 2021 with an auction result of USD 1,020.00 (€ 864.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von George Arlook konnte im September 2020 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Native American Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Two George Arlook/Arluk Sculptures für USD 229,50 (€ 195,85) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 300,00 – 500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Arlook auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A George Arlook/Arluk Sculpture im August 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.020,00 (€ 864,41).
