Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Pink carnations in a white vase by Georg Rueter was sold in the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction at Christies in Amsterdam in February 2004. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,390.00 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Georg Rueter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roses in a blanc de Chine vase, which sold at auction in July 2000 for NLG 21,063.60 (€ 9,258.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Pink carnations in a white vase von Georg Rueter wurde im Februar 2004 in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.390,00 und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Georg Rueter mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Roses in a blanc de Chine vase beobachtet, die im Juli 2000 für NLG 21.063,60 (€ 9.258,80) versteigert wurde.
