Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Preparing the fish by Georg Siebert was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,536.29) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georg Siebert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sitzender Junge mit Pfeife in November 2020 with an auction result of EUR 15,480.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Preparing the fish von Georg Siebert kam im Mai 2014 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.536,29) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georg Siebert erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sitzender Junge mit Pfeife im November 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 15.480,00.
